Making Friends in a New Neighborhood

When Sofia moved to a new neighborhood, she didn’t know anyone. At first, she felt lonely because her old friends lived far away. One Saturday, she joined a community gardening project. During her first meeting, she met Daniel, who introduced her to the other volunteers. They invited her to a neighborhood dinner the following weekend. Sofia wanted to go, but she was nervous about meeting so many new people. Daniel suggested that she bring a friend and arrive early so she could talk to people in smaller groups. At the dinner, Sofia discovered that several neighbors shared her interest in cooking. She has since joined a weekly cooking club and helped organize two community events. Although she still misses her old friends, she feels much more connected to her new neighborhood.
